YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Does My Weekender Tank Include a Mount?
The Weekender Tank includes two flat bracket mounting plates that are compatible with the majority of standard vehicle roof cross bar systems.
Can I Mount the Weekender Tank on Its Side, or Upside Down?
Yes, you can mount the Weekender Tank on it's side. You'll just need to make sure that the spout is on the lower side. That means if you mount it on the passenger side, the spout will face the rear of the vehicle and if you mount on the driver's side it'll face the front. You cannot mount it upside down, however. At least, not with Earth's gravity.
If you want to mount it upside down under a bed rack with a tent up top, feel free to check out our Bed Rack Under Mount!
How Long Will My Weekender Tank Hold Pressure?
Your Tank is designed to hold pressure for up to 3 months without use. If your tank has lost pressure it could be due to parts being loose. Make sure all parts are securely fastened to the system. Hand tighten your 2 inch cap to ensure that the O-ring has created an airtight seal. Make sure your on/off valve is tight and the valve remains in the off position when not in use.
How Should I Store My Weekender Tank to Prevent Bacteria Buildup?
Your Weekender Tank should be rinsed with soap and water. If the tank is not used for drinking, you may add 2-3 drops of bleach. Make sure the top cap of the tank is left off so the tank can properly dry out before use.
